It's been quite the year for collaborative efforts. From Offset & 21 Savage to Big Sean & Metro Boomin, we’ve seen some of our favorite artists join forces for some of the biggest projects of the year, and who better to close out the year than arguably the most anticipated collab duo yet, Quavo & Travis Scott.
Since the beginning of April, we’ve been hearing minor details & information about the highly anticipated joint project between Quavo & La Flame. For a while, it seemed like one of those collaborative projects that were often spoken about but wasn't really about to come to fruition, but thankfully that’s not the case. A couple weeks ago, Quavo confirmed its title Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho, before going on to say the project was in the final stages of mixing.
Me and this Travis record going to be the biggest collab album that you heard for the 2017 and 2018," Quavo told Zane Lowe, "We've been sittin', marinating, working. It's done, it's off for mixing. So you know when it's done for mixing, it's ready to go.
Well thankfully now is that time. After teasing a Christmas release a couple days ago, it turns out the two were treating fans to an early Christmas present in the form of Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho, which arrives a few hours earlier than expected via iTunes & other digital platforms.
Laced with 13 tracks in total, the collab project features guest appearances from Migos rappers Takeoff & Offset, the latter of which appears on the single “Dubai Shit.” Meanwhile, production comes from Murda Beats, Mike Dean, Vinylz, Cardo, Buddah Bless, & more. It also features cover art done by famed Welsh illustrator Ralph Steadman (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas).
